Basic Rider Course Information
The Basic Rider Course (BRC) covers the fundamentals for becoming
a safe responsible motorcyclist serving those who have little to no riding experience, including individuals who have not ridden in several years or anyone who just wants to improve their skills. In the classroom, you will
learn strategies to minimize risk and handle special riding situations.
During the riding portions you will be coached to develop mental and physical
skills that include brake and clutch control, weaving, stopping, shifting, and turning. Then more advanced skills will be taught such as: stopping quickly, cornering, counterbalancing
for slow tight turns, negotiating curves, stopping quickly in a curve, and swerving.
Trainer motorcycles are provided to participants of the BRC.
